Meet Karin
For more than 15 years, I've had the privilege of helping people reduce pain, restore movement, and improve their quality of life through advanced manual therapy. Throughout my career, one truth has become increasingly clear: while hands-on therapy can create meaningful change, lasting health is often influenced by the choices we make every day—how we eat, move, sleep, manage stress, and care for our bodies.
That realization inspired me to expand my education beyond manual therapy. I earned a Master of Health Science in Functional & Integrative Nutrition from Northwestern Health Sciences University, graduating as Valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude. My graduate studies focused on healthy aging, chronic inflammation, gut health, lifestyle medicine, and behavior change, providing a deeper understanding of the root contributors to many chronic health conditions.
Today, my practice continues to focus on advanced manual therapies, including CranioSacral Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Therapeutic Massage, and Orthopedic Massage. I have a special interest in supporting individuals experiencing head and neck conditions, nervous system dysfunction, lymphatic concerns, post-surgical recovery, reducing inflammation and pain, and the challenges associated with healthy aging.
Although I am not currently offering formal nutrition counseling, my education in Functional & Integrative Nutrition influences the way I educate and support clients. My goal is to help individuals better understand the connections between nutrition, lifestyle, inflammation, and overall health while continuing to provide evidence-based manual therapy that supports healing and long-term wellness.
My professional journey has included several rewarding careers, each contributing valuable skills that I bring to my practice today. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Medical Technology from Wilson College, I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician before taking time to raise our three wonderful children. Later, my husband and I owned and managed a successful real estate appraisal business before returning to healthcare to pursue my passion for helping others.
Since beginning my CranioSacral Therapy training through the Upledger Institute in 2009, I have completed extensive advanced education in CranioSacral Therapy, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Visceral Manipulation, and orthopedic massage. I earned Diplomate Certification in CranioSacral Therapy, the highest level of certification awarded by the Upledger Institute, and have served as both a Study Group Leader and Teaching Assistant, mentoring fellow therapists in advanced clinical skills.
Additional professional experiences have included participating as a primary therapist in Dolphin-Assisted Therapy programs in the Bahamas and serving as a therapist during the Ricky Williams Pilot Concussion Program. I have also authored the professional article, Bringing CranioSacral Therapy into Your Massage Practice, published in Massage World Magazine.
Above all, I believe healing is about more than treating symptoms. It is about listening, educating, empowering, and partnering with each individual to support their unique path toward better health.
My mission is simple:
Helping adults age healthier through evidence-based nutrition, lifestyle medicine,
and integrative healthcare.
When I'm not working with clients, my husband, Jeff, and I enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with our family.
