CranioSacral Therapy

Cost: $95/60 minute session, $50/30 minute session                                   Book Online

The CranioSacral System is comprised of the membranes and fluid that surround, nourish, cleanse and protect the brain and spinal cord.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle yet powerful technique that is effective in releasing neck pain, back pain, and mental stress (among other things). While optimizing the movement of cerebrospinal fluid through and around the brain and spinal cord, CranioSacral Therapy also enhances the "rest and digest" system (parasympathetic system) of the body. This therapy provides a very soothing and relaxing healing experience while improving the functioning of the central nervous system and allowing the body to self-correct.

Clients remain fully clothed and simply relax on their backs in a quiet setting. After locating areas of decreased fluid movement within the body, the therapist uses gentle techniques to enhance balanced movement and motion.

By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy

Cost: $95/60 minute session, $140/90 minute session                                   Book Online

The Lymphatic System is a network of vessels and organs of the immune system that help remove unwanted toxins, waste, and other materials, including edema from trauma and surgery.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (MLD) is a hands-on technique designed to attain and sustain the proper functioning of the human fluid system. The MLD process involves the use of gentle manual maneuvers to aid in the re-circulation of body fluids.

NOTE: This is NOT lymphedema management, nor is it a replacement for proper lymphedema management.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy is a manual technique, done in a specific rhythm and direction to increase the flow of the lymphatic system in the body. The treatment is very relaxing and enhances the parasympathetic system, or "rest and digest". MLD is increasingly used as a preventative measure to boost the immune system during both healthy times and during illness or post surgery/injury. Because of the light touch, this therapy is also good people who are very sensitive or fragile due to age or illness. Additionally, MLD is very effective for attaining better post cosmetic surgery results.

Equine Manual Therapy is beneficial to most any horse, at most anytime in his/her life. By incorporating CranioSacral Therapy, Sports Massage Techniques, and techniques used in the Masterson Method, the horse benefits physically, emotionally, and mentally. Manual therapy techniques help relax and rebalance your horse's nervous system, muscles, and fascia.  This, in turn, enhances all of the systems of the body:  immune, circulatory, muscular, nervous, digestive, endocrine, lymphatic, reproductive, and skeletal.

Combining CranioSacral Therapy and Massage can help your horse become calmer and more responsive to cues/aides, while aiding in the release of toxins which build-up in muscles and surrounding tissues, causing soreness and decreased use and range of motion.  Additionally oxygen is increased which in turn increases metabolism and shortens recuperation time between exercise and events. From stall-bound horses to top performers, all horses benefit from CranioSacral Therapy and Massage Therapy.

Equine Manual Therapy can be custom tailored to fit the needs of each individual horse.  It is not, however, intended to replace veterinary care or diagnose an underlying problem. Please call/text 910-612-6618 or email me (ksiebold@gmail.com) to discuss the needs of your horse and to schedule an appointment.
